Black-Owned Clothing Brands For Women


Hanifa Clothing was founded in 2012 by Anifa Mvuemba. Her curve-flattering designs push women to live without limits through bold colors and textures.


Designer Carly Cushnie established her luxury women’s ready-to-wear brand in 2008. The brand currently has a limited-edition dress collection available at Target.

Founded by Nigerian/Austrian immigrant Larissa Muehleder, her eponymous brand is instantly recognizable through her neoprene designs. The inventive designs of this New York-based brand fit well into the fashion capital of the world.

Nubian Skin

This lingerie and hosiery brand, founded by Ade Hassan, is introducing Black women to their true nude. Deciding it was time for a different kind of nude, Hassan carefully curated collections of skin-tone shades that cover the spectrum for women of color.

Love, Vera

Launched in 2018, founders Vera Moore and Nate Johnson created their intimates brand that celebrates black women, black entrepreneurship, and black cultural influence.

Black-Owned Clothing Brands For Men

Armando Cabral

The luxury men’s footwear and accessories brand fuse founder Armando Cabral’s classic approach to fashion with modern elegance and sophistication.

Michel Men

While attending Parsons School for Design, Whitney Michel created her brand that specializes in luxury men’s goods that include fine cashmere and silk ties.


Founded by Waraire Boswell, the brand is a combination of casual and classy. While his collections feature designs for both genders, his bespoke men’s suiting is the true standout.

Pyer Moss

Kerby-Jean Raymond founded Pyer Moss in 2013 to speak to both Black heritage and activism. The brand currently has a collection with Reebok that includes outerwear and activewear for men and women.


The eco-friendly lifestyle brand was founded by Patrick Robinson. They are recognized for their comfortable and sustainable collections that include blazers, polos, and trousers for men.

Le Bijoux Parfum

Adeline Dorsainvil founded her fragrance line to speak to every type of personality. With Swarovski crystals infused into every perfume bottle, every woman will feel the luxury while getting ready for date night.
